Our Annual Conference is Friday, July 24, 2026
At Lipscomb University
in Nashville
Offered in Conjunction with an Interprofessional Escape Room Workshop on July 23, 2026
This year’s conference theme is New Frontiers of Interprofessional Education and Practice
We are please to welcome Karl Kodweis, PharmD, from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center as our keynote speaker. Dr. Kodweis is an Assistant Professor at UTHSC’s College of Pharmacy. His keynote presentation, Prompts to Practice: Building AI Literacy Through Interprofessional Simulation, discusses the design and implementation of a constrained AI prompting activity embedded within an interprofessional simulation. The session highlights how the activity concurrently supports AI literacy and IPEC competency development, grounded in what was built and in the outcome data, rather than making a general case for why AI belongs in health professions education. Attendees will briefly experience a condensed version of the activity and leave with materials they can adapt to their own settings.
The conference will run from 8:00 am – 3:30 pm Central. Here is the 2026 TIPEC Conference Agenda.
We will also be offering an Interprofessional Escape Room workshop on Thursday, July 23 from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm Central at Lipscomb University (same location as conference). This event is designed for professionals, rather than students. More information on this workshop can be found here.
