TIPEC would like to welcome our two newest Board of Directors.
Professor Sajeesh Kumar, PhD, is Executive Director- Institute for Health Outcomes and Policy, Chair-Health Outcomes and Policy Research PhD program and Associate Professor, Department of Health Informatics & Information Management, University of Tennessee-Memphis. Dr. Kumar’s research focuses on design and development of telemedicine technology, public health education technologies and Inter Professional Education. Dr. Kumar has travelled to more than 30 countries and has extensive international experience in healthcare, IPE and research works. Dr. Kumar has been involved in healthcare activities in USA, Australia, Singapore, Netherlands, Seychelles, United Arab Emirates and India. He has won several research awards, edited several books on telemedicine, published book chapters and scientific papers in high impact journals. Dr. Kumar holds an impressive record of competitive research funding and research awards. In his free time he is involved in flying single engine airplanes, music and voluntary social service to the needy.
Marian Levy, DrPH, RD, FAND is Associate Dean and Professor of the University of Memphis School of Public Health. A Registered Dietitian and Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, she has over 25 years’ experience in public health practice and research. Dr. Levy has held several leadership posts, including President of the Tennessee Public Health Association. She currently serves on the Governing Council of the American Public Health Association and is a Site Visitor for the Council on Education for Public Health. Additionally, Levy is the Academic Lead of the University of Memphis’ Interprofessional Community Health Clinic.
Drs. Kumar and Levy have been elected to a three-year term, and will serve until July 2024.
