Sherry Jimenez, EdD, CHCP, CHSE, FNAOME
Dr. Jimenez serves as the Senior Associate Dean of IPE, Simulation and Accreditation at Lincoln Memorial University Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) located in Harrogate and Knoxville, Tennessee. She is responsible for administrative and operational oversight of the multi-campus Center for Interprofessional Education and Simulation (CIPES). She is also responsible for strategic planning and accreditation for DCOM, serves as an accreditation reviewer for the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA), and is an Associate Professor of Medical Education. In December 2022 LMU-DCOM was awarded 10 years of accreditation with Exceptional Outcome from the COCA, the highest determination an osteopathic medical college can receive.
Dr. Jimenez has worked in pharmacy education in clinical education and assessment, was the founding Assistant Dean of Educational Development at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-COM) and served as Assistant Provost at Marian two years later before heading to LMU-DCOM. She serves on various committees through the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM), and is Board Vice President for the LMU Women of Service. She is a Joint Accreditation reviewer through the American Interprofessional Health Collaborative (AIHC) for the National Center for Interprofessional Education (NCIPE). She is a fellow of the National Academy of Osteopathic Medical Educators (NAOME), a certified healthcare professional (CHCP), and a certified health care simulation educator (CHSE). Dr. Jimenez has presented her work and collaborations at national and international meetings. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, sporting clays and steel challenge competitions, and AKC lure coursing with her Rhodesian Ridgeback.
