We encourage you to integrate this event into your curriculum and include a minimum of 2 disciplines so that students can participate in the networking break (full agenda to follow). Prizes will be awarded. At your choosing, we can provide you with the pre-reading materials will assign and pre/post quiz.
Objectives:
- Recognize the devastating factors contributing to opioid abuse regionally and nationally including but not limited to Adverse Childhood Events
- Recognize the importance of engaging individuals that have suffered Adverse Childhood Events with a trauma informed approach.
- Recognize diverse perspectives of those addressing opioid addiction (i.e. cultural, disciplinary, and ethical.)
- Awareness of the unique needs of different populations when addressing opioid addiction.
